Community Eligibility Program (CEP) Now District Wide

In Nelson County Schools, all middle and elementary schools retained their CEP status for 2023-24. As of January 2024, both high schools now qualify for CEP status.

  • Effective January 2024, students at both high schools will receive meals at NO CHARGE through the Community Eligibility Program (CEP). Prior to January 2024, meals were charged according to student eligibility (paid, reduced, free).

  • Students at all elementary and middle schools will receive meals at NO CHARGE through the Community Eligibility Program (CEP).

These families will submit the Household Income Form. This short survey collects information about the financial well-being of families in our district and affects several aspects of state and federal funding assistance, such as the level of support our FRYSCs receive.

    • DO I NEED TO FILL OUT AN APPLICATION FOR EACH CHILD? No application process needed with CEP status.
    • MY CHILD’S APPLICATION WAS APPROVED LAST YEAR. DO I NEED TO FILL OUT A NEW ONE? As of January 2024, all schools are now CEP eligible.
