Compensation & Benefits

A typical workday is from 6:30 - 8:30 am & 2:30 - 4:30 pm. There may be slight variations in time depending upon your assigned route.

A driver's schedule follows the school year calendar. That enables you to have Summer, Spring, Fall, & Winter Breaks!

Details

Nelson County Schools bus drivers are contracted for 4 hours per day
Drivers are currently paid 173 work days and 4 holidays
Starting pay with no experience is $17.96/ hour. To view our salary schedule click here!
There are opportunities for additional hours by taking day, night and weekend trips
