Principal's Message

Stephanie Smith

Welcome, Patriot Families!!

It is a pleasure to be the Principal here at Bloomfield Elementary School. I am proud to be a part of this team with the wonderful staff, students, and family members that are part of it. We will continue to implement Project Based Learning and STEM that will provide students the opportunity to work collaboratively, and think critically and creatively.  Technology, and the use of Chromebooks, continues to grow as they are incorporated into our classrooms. Students will also have the opportunity to be involved in Music, Art Through Literacy, and Physical Education/Health during their special areas throughout the week.  Student achievement is a top priority, we will accomplish this through our learning focus areas and having a safe and welcoming environment for our students. We will celebrate the successes we have and strive to grow each day.

We value communication with you and have set up procedures to ensure that effective communication is ongoing between school and home. We will send out One Call reminders, along with fliers to keep you abreast of events going on at BES. If you need to contact or meet with me, please call the office at 502-349-7211.  I am also usually available before school and at dismissal to answer any questions or concerns.  We realize the importance of maintaining a clear line of communication between school and home and are committed to accomplishing this goal.

Attendance is an important piece to student achievement. If your child is not here, they miss out. We want every student to receive the education they deserve and we can accomplish this by working together to ensure your child is in school, on time, every day.

It is going to be an amazing year of learning for every student at Bloomfield Elementary School.  Thank you for your ongoing support of our school.

Stephanie Smith, Ed.S
