OKH LEADer Feature OKH LEADer Feature

For our LEADer Feature this week, we would like to recognize one of our Wildcat Rockstars, Mrs. Ballard!

"Having been at Old Kentucky Home Middle School since 2015, I bring a variety of interests and experiences to a position I thoroughly enjoy. After graduating from Butler Traditional High School in Louisville in 2001, I attended Spalding University on a track and cross country scholarship. Following a restructuring of the athletic program there, I transferred to the University of Louisville where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Health and Performance in 2006, followed by a Master of Arts in Teaching in 2007. I taught physical education and health for the Archdiocese of Louisville for eight years at Notre Dame Academy in Louisville and St. Gregory School in Nelson County. After completing a Master of Education in Special Education LBD, also from U of L, I accepted my current position with Nelson County Schools. My husband, Bart, and I are the parents of two boys, Kevin and Bart. And I continue to run whenever I can and enjoy competing in 5 K and charity events. "
