Dear Boston Families:
Welcome to Boston School. As always, we have many exciting things planned throughout the year as we continue to work and learn together.
I am honored to serve as principal of Boston School and look forward to another excellent year with unlimited potential for what we can accomplish together. We have one of the best staffs in the state, and I can say without reservation that each and every one are committed to serving students. From the bus drivers, the custodians, the instructional assistants to the cafeteria workers, we are here because we care about your children. Each and every decision we make is with their best interest at heart. We appreciate your trust as we care for, nurture, and teach your precious children.
All staff at Boston School maintain high expectations for student learning. Students are expected to work hard to learn and teachers are committed to providing learning opportunities that will engage students in critical thinking. It is also our commitment to create opportunities for students to demonstrate independence and become problem solvers ready for the next challenge of life.
We continue to use the OLWEUS anti-bullying program. A highlight of this program is our “Family Meetings” each day. Family meetings are designed to solve problems as they arise and equip students to solve their own problems as well as create a safe place to discuss things important and relevant to the group. We believe that school is not only for learning to read and write well, solve complex problems, and learn more about our world. We must also learn to navigate the world together as we work and learn as a community. Students will form connections to others, connect with our school community, and connect with themselves as they discover the exceptional qualities within.
Again, welcome to Boston School. We are excited that you are a part of our school community and look forward to making lasting memories and changing lives for the better!
Dana Cull, Principal
