Principal's Message

Teresa Henderson
Principal

Dear Parents and Guardians,

It is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the newly appointed Principal of the Nelson County Early Learning Center.  I am honored to have the opportunity to reimagine the Npossible together.

I have been dedicated to the field of Early Childhood Education for the last 11 years.  My journey began as a lead Toddler and Preschool teacher and for the past 9 years, I have served as a Family and Consumer Science teacher with a focus on Early Childhood Education.  I have focused on training High School students in Early Childhood Education and preparing them for a career in this pathway. I also have two wonderful children; Cas (4) and Cali (2) who continue to shape my beliefs on learning in the early childhood years.

I am excited and eager to bring my skills and knowledge of Early Childhood Education to the Early Learning Center and work with you as a partner in education to ensure your child succeeds.  This is the beginning of his or her education and building a foundation for which the child's education can grow from will be our main focus at the ELC. It is an honor to have been entrusted with your child's foundation.

At the ELC, we are committed to spending intentional time with each child, understanding their personalities, learning styles and interests.  We will also work hard to establish a legacy of PRIDE by building strong relationships with students, parents and community members.

My door is always open and I welcome your input.  Please feel free to call or email me to discuss any concerns you might have throughout the school year.

I look forward to working with you as a team to help each student excavate their gifts and build a strong foundation with PRIDE in their hearts.

Best Regards,

Teresa M. Henderson, BSN, BSA, MA, NBCT
