Goals & Beliefs

“Fostering High Expectations for ALL Students while Providing Attention to the Whole Student

To implement relevant curriculum, instruction and assessment that are integrated, challenging, engaging, and connected to real-life experiences that promote high academic performance while addressing various learning styles and multiple intelligences.

To strengthen the partnership between our school and parents/community.

To meet the needs of all students and provide intervention when they are having difficulty learning and enrichment when they are in need of acceleration in order to foster life-long learning.

To develop an instructional climate centered on dignity and respect to further develop our positive learning environment.

To create a collaborative culture where a caring and respectful attitude is promoted among the school community.

To provide a culture where rigorous academic and behavioral student expectations are identified and consistent.

We believe our purpose is to instill high values that promote success for ALL students in a positive, safe learning community.

We believe relationships need nurturing and all members of our learning community should be treated respectfully, fairly, positively, supportively, kindly and sincerely.

We believe it is our responsibility to acknowledge, hear and  understand individual student needs, problems and concerns, with love, kindness, respect and support while collaborating, interacting with, and meeting our individual students’ needs.

We believe we are a team of collaborators, respecting each other’s beliefs, working in partnership, to reach a common goal, while facilitating and directing learning in a positive learning environment where students feel safe, inspired and enthusiastic about learning.

We believe our school will be a place where all stakeholders are valued and work together toward a common goal in a supportive environment where diversity is accepted, appreciated and conflict is confronted and resolved.

We believe we work in partnership with parents, families and the community to provide educational excellence for ALL of our students.

We believe our school will be a place where families feel welcome, and children feel safe and successful in a positive learning environment.

We believe an effective school is a place where faculty is responsive to students’ needs, teach and provide relevance to the real world, and integrate core content and the program of studies in a differentiated, varied and effective manner.

We believe a quality instructional program includes both educational and social skills that promote cooperative learning, and highlight the success for all individuals as they journey toward life-long learning.

We believe schools instill a love of content and life-long learning while providing students with life skills necessary for success.

We believe that successful students are independent life-long learners who recognize their success, know how to find and use resources, work well with others, and are willing to take and accept risks as a part of the learning process.

We believe our actions should promote individuality, support individual needs and establish high expectations for ALL students so that every person can reach success.
