SBDM Council Information

A school-based decision-making (SBDM) council is the mandated governing method for most Kentucky schools. Originating in the 1990 Kentucky Education Reform Act, SBDM councils are regulated by KRS 160.345. Councils are typically composed of the school principal, three teachers and two parents.
