Two NCHS students going to GSP

By Tom Dekle, Communications Director

Two Nelson County High School juniors, Joseph Miles Newton and Caitlin Fox, have been accepted to the Kentucky Governor’s Scholars Program (GSP) this year.

GSP is a summer residential program for outstanding high school students who are rising seniors. The program involves five weeks of study without charge at one of three participating Kentucky universities: Northern Kentucky University, Highland Heights; Murray State University, Murray; or Morehead State University, Morehead. Students select three preferred focus areas from a list of 25 study options. While participating in the program, students live on campus in dorms and study in classes taught by university professors on the campus to which they have been assigned.

NCHS Governor's ScholarsJoseph Miles Newton and Caitlin Fox will represent NCHS at GSP this summer.
