During the lockdown, school officials worked closely with local law enforcement to make them aware of the nature of the message and worked to locate the subjects. Shortly after 3:20 this afternoon, three individuals, two males and one female that were thought to be connected to the message, were detained by the police in the parking lot at Nelson County High School. The police were quick to respond and teachers and students reacted responsibly throughout the lockdown process.
Principal Tanya Jury noted that “Student safety is our number one priority.
