Three Cox’s Creek Elementary School teachers and three of their students each received their “just deserts” March 6 to conclude the school’s Pie in the Face fundraiser for the WHAS Crusade for Children.
The top three fundraising students in the top three fundraising classrooms earned the right to “pie” their teacher with a pie pan full of whipped cream. It would seem that the students had the better part of that deal. The fundraiser netted $1,243.55 for the Crusade.
The teachers who were "pied" were Kelsey Young, Christa Tucker, and Troy Thomas. The students that participated were Catherine Elder, Brandy Coomes, and Jack Harrod.
Catherine Elder eyes her handiwork after “pieing” her teacher, Kelsey Young, while Christa Tucker and Troy Thomas anticipate the same treatment.
The whipped cream flies as Jack Harrod enthusiastically pies his teacher, Troy Thomas. Brandy Coomes is looking on, along with teachers Kelsey Young and Christa Tucker.
Troy Thomas enjoys his reward as teacher of the top fundraising classroom at Cox’s Creek Elementary School for the WHAS Crusade for Children.
