The school district uses the Infinite Campus Messenger with Voice system to notify students, parents and employees of important information. This automated telephone calling system is used to announce school closings, employee information, team meetings or other necessary information.
The calls will come to the phone number(s) submitted when a student enrolls in the school system or the district hires an employee. (Parents may choose to opt-out of the program by contacting their child’s school, or logging into the Infinite Campus Parent Portal and changing “Contact Preferences”.)
Calls from the school board office via Infinite Campus will announce that the call is coming “from the Nelson County Schools.” Caller ID will show 502-349-7000. Calls from a school may show the school’s phone number on Caller ID.
Many announcements are also sent through the Infinite Campus email system. Email addresses may be submitted at the time of school enrollment. You may also update your email address by logging in to your Infinite Campus Portal and clicking on “Contact Preferences.”
Some short announcements may also be sent by text message. To receive text message notifications, you must opt-in by logging into your Portal, clicking on “Contact Preferences” and then putting a check mark in the box(es) in the Text(SMS) row.
If you subscribe to a cell plan with text messaging, Infinite Campus text messages will be included in your plan. If you do not have a text messaging option on your cellular plan or you exceed your plan’s limit, standard text message charges will be applied by your cellular provider to receive these messages.
